I've worked with children and adults in the mental health field for over 16 years and individuals with addiction for over 8 years. I've treated individuals with various mental health and substance use disorders. My experience enables me to offer effective, individualized outpatient psychological care. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges and addiction.

Welcome! My name is Lamar Whidbee and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. I believe that the journey to healing, self- acceptance and sustainability is beautiful. Many men, specifically Black men, have been conditioned to ignore emotional responsibility while internalizing most emotion. I strive to advocate for Black men in the mental health space, as I am aware of the stigmas that disconnect Black men from mental health support. My greatest joy in a session is to see my client set free from the issues that previously restricted them.

I get it, and I can help you. Anxiety is treatable, and I have particular expertise treating phobias and OCD. The mission of Lifestyle Consultant Services is to improve the quality of mental health and substance abuse services by reducing stigma and by protecting the rights of the individual who suffers from mental illness and/or substance abuse. By identifying the pain and suffering experienced by citizens in our community and addressing them with care, we aim to strengthen and promote health and well being. Suboxone is the combination of buprenorphine (partial opioid agonist) and naloxone (opioid antagonist - Narcan). The combination is either 2 mg/0.5 mg or 8 mg/2 mg. Suboxone is a sublingual film (it dissolves under the tongue).
