I have also worked with individuals with other mental health disorders (e.g., anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, impulse control, addiction disorders, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc.).

As a therapist, I enjoy working with a variety of clients. With over 21 years of experience, my expertise to a more eclectic approach, including CBT, attachment based therapy, trauma focused therapy, and emotionally focused therapy. I enjoy working with trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, life transition, attachment, self-esteem, family issues, Adult Children of Alcoholics, grief/loss, and autism.

I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, stress, and the challenges of navigating the world with a neurodivergent brain. A core theme I encounter in my clients is the experience of overwhelming thoughts and feelings that make it difficult to cope with and enjoy life. Sometimes this overwhelmed feeling comes from the double-edged sword of a nervous system wired more sensitively (allowing you to be more sensitive to beauty, details, positive emotion, but also more vulnerable to shifts in anxiety and mood), and sometimes the overwhelm comes from traumatic experiences or too much everyday stress.

With a decade of experience as a therapist working in a wide variety of settings, I use an integrated approach including CBT, EMDR, faith-based, psychodynamic and others to treat multiple issues including anxiety, relationship conflict, depression, spirituality and more. My specialty is in treating grief and loss, which can come from not only death and divorce/break-ups, but by estrangement, disappointment, loneliness and many other experiences in life.

I specialize in the child and adolescent population and their families and have done so for 18 years. I specialize in treating individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for trauma recovery. In my practice I also treat adults ( who can be seen by other therapists as well as myself within the practice). I collaborate with a psychiatric nurse practitioner for medication management, ensuring comprehensive support for clients.
