Eric Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Eric attended Hunter College, which is part of the City University Colleges of New York (CUNY), where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Eric then earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a diverse clinical background, having provided outpatient therapy, intensive in-home, and multisystemic therapy (MST) for adults, adolescents, and families with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. He has also provided mental health services to adults and children with traumatic brain injuries and cognitive challenges.

I am an associate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a focus on working with adolescents and adults facing life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, anxiety depression and many of the other concerns that go along with being a person in this world. I am also a high school and travel softball coach. Through 5 years of coaching, I have found purpose in working with young people in athletics.

I am most passionate about providing a safe space for courageous individuals like you to explore thoughts and feelings that might leave you feeling depleted, overwhelmed, isolated or fearful. Together, we will engage your strengths and apply tools you can use in your everyday life to address what is causing you daily pain or tension. Relief is possible! I work with adults on an individual basis to address concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, mood swings or various life transitions.

I work with individuals, couples and families ages 12 and up and from all backgrounds. As a therapist, I work with clients to foster their current strengths and help them build new ones empowering them to deal with life's challenges successfully. I understand the importance of accepting that our unique personalities and experiences make us who we are and I focus on helping clients discover ways to make those strengths work in the context of life (school, work and relationships). I am licensed in the state of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH#16580). I also am licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Heath Counselor (License #10919). I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (1992) and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University (1985). My professional memberships include the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina, the American Counseling Association and The National Board of Certified Counselors.
