I am walking the parenting road with biological and adopted children and I have provided hospice care for dear ones at the end of life.
Parenting a child with special needs or an adopted child who has experienced trauma requires extraordinary strength. Care-giving for aging parents presents similar demands that intensify our need for a listening ear and access to resources. If you are in the midst of the tension between managing a child or parent's medical and emotional needs while equipping him/her to independently provide as much self-care as possible, you could use some serious encouragement. The internal conflict that arises as you meet -- and fail to meet -- the parenting/care-giving challenge(s) is an experience not meant to be faced alone.

Maybe it is a confusing relationship, past traumas, parenting struggles, phobias, or general fears and anxieties.
You have already taken the first step toward healing, growth and answers by beginning your search for help. Struggles in life do not define us, but open up doors of greater insight and strength if we are willing to pause, listen and learn. It’s so easy to get used to rushing through life, content to just survive - doing to the point that we forget how to enjoy being, reflecting and growing. Sometimes you may feel like you lost yourself along the way, like you don’t know who you really are anymore.

For those who feel overwhelmed by burnout, trauma in helping professions, adulting with ADHD, or the rollercoaster of parenting, know that just starting to look for a therapist is a significant and brave step.
Many of my clients share a common thread: a sense of being caught in a whirlwind of expectations and responsibilities. Those in helping professions might know this feeling all too well - burnout and job-related trauma can sneak up, making the demands of the job feel endless and daunting. Modern parenting can be just as overwhelming as we juggle providing for our families, advancing our careers, and nurturing kind, resilient children. For those of us navigating adulting with ADHD, every day can feel like a series of curveballs, even when things are going smoothly. If any of this resonates, you're in the right place.

Transparency is important to me, and I want you to know that I face struggles just like anyone else. Relationships, parenting, and my own emotions and trauma - they're all part of my journey too. That's why I firmly believe in therapy and, just like you, my therapist is one of my biggest support systems. Therapy is my go to for healing and growth. My vision has grown to give me the freedom to be with you on your life's journey, providing guidance, support, and a judgment-free space. Making a difference in someone's life, even if it's through a smile or a release of tears, is what drives me every day.

I see adults for individual therapy, Couples Counseling, Discernment Counseling, Divorce Consults, Collaborative Divorce, and Co- Parenting Therapy.
The past 20 years of partnering with a wide range of people through times of struggle has taught me we often underestimate our own resilience, or our resilience as a couple. It leads to worry, anger, depression, suspicion, guilt, frustration, loneliness, resentment, shame, panic... all the emotions we try so hard to avoid. Consider a teammate for this part of the journey to help you take greater control of your own growth. A partner who can listen intently, offer perspective, brainstorm with you, help you develop new insights and skills, and support you in making changes to create a life - or relationship - you love.

I have a passion for supporting youth, adolescents, and young adults experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, communication, behavioral issues, and academic performance. As a social worker, I seek to address these concerns while considering family and community challenges. Navigating the demands of being a child, student, and parent can be difficult. When our lives become out of balance, it can negatively affect our relationships and sense of self. My goal is to help you build a positive self-narrative, highlight your resilience, and acquire skills to increase confidence and connection in your daily life.
