I work with children and adolescents (5-18) struggling with adjustment disorders, ADHD, Autism, developmental changes, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and family conflict. I also work with young adults (18+) dealing with transitional life changes, identity exploration, and various mental health concerns. I believe in empowering clients to take control over the things they can and to accept the things they cannot. We will work together to establish healthy coping skills for challenging situations. I collaborate with parents to help identify your child’s strengths and to create a responsive rather than reactive home environment.

Trained as a generalist, I have worked with both children and adults to decrease symptoms of depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), abuse (sexual and physical) attention deficit disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, grief and loss, self-esteem, psycho-education (safety and social skills, assertiveness, communication, and parenting), and anger management. Welcome to my page :) A little background, I graduated from UNCC with my bachelor’s in psychology in 2018, and more recently in 2022, from the University of Kentucky with my Masters in Social Work. I love all things art and music related and love to bring those to the therapeutic space. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and later received a Masters in Counseling from UNC-Charlotte. I have experience in a variety of counseling settings including the hospital, school, and private practice. My goal as a clinician is to help adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults build upon their own personal strengths in order to cope with transitions, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, grief/loss, family issues, and self esteem. Therapy is a unique process in which clients gain greater insight about themselves, their relationships, and others. Creating a safe and supportive environment is essential to my therapy practice.
