As a transpersonal somatic psychotherapist, biodynamic craniosacral therapist, SoulCollage facilitator and holistic nurse, mother, wife, daughter, empty nester and fellow traveler, I help people develop the tools and skills for inner awareness and embodiment so they can live in this world with joy and an increasing capacity for love.
My joy is supporting others in coming back to themselves and ultimately to their connection with others and with the divine. Whether exploring the patterns developed during our conception, birth or early life, or connecting with the body’s wisdom, there is a way we can be with what is happening that allows us to integrate what is most essential. Slowing down, finding your rhythm, tuning in to what you are needing and wanting for yourself, being curious…some sessions are deeply restorative, some profound or surprising, some simply provide the necessary structure for living fully in this 3-D world.

I am a bilingual social worker and clinician specializing in individual outpatient therapy. Among my areas of expertise are individuals who are struggling with issues of functionality, relationships, identity, self-esteem and other manifestations of life challenges. I have a focus on multicultural populations and individuals who are seeking a space to integrate their psychedelic experiences. Many people are exploring their internal landscapes with the use of psychedelics and these experiences can be intense and challenging to integrate into the psyche without consciously doing so.

Are you an out-of the box person looking for an out of the box therapist? Do you find yourself frustrated with traditional psychotherapy and feeling like your current treatment methods are not fully meeting your needs. Are you feeling lost ? Lacking a sense of life purpose? You are not alone! Many individuals experience challenges such as stress, anxiety, sensitivity to others, physical pain, somatic concerns, disconnection, financial difficulties, or relationship issues that traditional therapy may not fully address. It may be time to realign and rediscover your true self through a holistic approach to healing.

I am EDMR certified and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 trained. I use these powerful tools and others like ACT to help you understand yourself better and transform limiting patterns and beliefs. Healing is about bringing the unconscious to the conscious level, which allows our true self to emerge, and my techniques are designed for this purpose. I create a safe space for you to explore the links between past and present, to see what you are still holding onto and to help you finally let go. I also teach a variety of skills and tools. Perhaps you've tried talk therapy and are ready to go deeper. If so, this may be for you.

If you are a deep thinker who feels intensely, you may often feel misunderstood or overlooked by others. This can lead to feelings of alienation, making it challenging to set healthy boundaries and connect with people in a meaningful and authentic way. You might struggle to sit with and process your emotions in ways that reveal your true needs and desires. Together, we can work on building mental clarity, emotional resilience, and deeper self-awareness, helping you connect with yourself and others from a place that feels genuine, grounded, and fulfilling.

I am trained as a medical family therapist and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. Clients dealing with relationship issues, current and/or past family conflict, chronic / invisible illness, immune / autoimmune / sleep disorders, adjusting to new diagnoses, caregiver fatigue, and having to work when you are ill and/or grieving tend to find my approach both different and helpful. I have experienced these issues myself and am familiar with the challenges they create in our personal and professional lives. I focus on helping clients cope with these difficulties in the context of our most valued relationships.

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
