Having an extensive background in ABA principles and evidence-based behavior management techniques, I work alongside caregivers of autistic individuals, equipping them with the necessary tools to help build their child’s communication skills, manage their child’s disruptive behavior and foster lifelong independence.

This is why I place an emphasis on authenticity and the importance of understanding each person as a whole, focusing on healing through the integration of mental, physical, and spiritual health. As a therapist, I will involve strategies and techniques including CBT, sandtray and sandplay, motivational interviewing, addressing the mind and body connection, and the incorporation of ongoing psychoeducation.

Accepting clients! At Emerge Child and Family Counseling we provide mostly a client centered approach to counseling to ensure our clients get the therapeutic services they need. We can utlize EMDR, CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, as well as other approaches. We are a full practice serving all ranges of clients with a focus on adults, children, teens, and support their families. We have multiple clinicians to fit with our clients to provide counseling where each person can build trust and foster a nurturing relationship. We are a smaller more focused practice where you feel more like family and welcomed, making treatment the most effective.

I love to work with children, families, and teachers, including Expat families and Third Culture Kids (TCK). My passion is connecting parents, teacher and students, so that all feel heard, supported and students begin to thrive. Many of my clients are overwhelmed by life and they don't know why or what to do about it. Parents and teachers both experience burnout. Getting stuck in the middle of chaos, makes it hard to find the next move. It is not possible to solve a problem without rising above it. My role is to bring you up out of the woods and help you find more effective solutions, ultimately bringing peace of mind.

I am passionate about supporting people who range in age from early childhood through adulthood. My background in child psychology informs my work with adults as well, as I am always considering how a person's developmental path and early relationships have shaped them. In therapy, I strive to bring empathy, warmth, and humor to the process. You can expect me to be curious about and accepting of your experiences as I support you in actively working towards change. I am sensitive to issues related to disability, immigration, and non-traditional forms of family building, and welcome all to my practice.

Life is really rough right now in so many ways! We have never experienced anything like what we are experiencing right now. Life has been flipped upside down, anxiety is sky high, depression is increasing, relationships are suffering, and those with children are being forced to become homeschool teachers. The sense of balance in our lives has been thrown out. We feel stuck, depressed, anxious, and maybe even hopeless. It is really important to take care of yourself in this space and reach out for help, to talk things through, and figure out how to move forward in a positive direction. I have been passionate about helping first responders, active military, and veterans since I was an adolescent. Our organizational consulting services help leadership teams grow and learn and our private practice consulting helps clinicians ready to take the leap into private practice.
