With all of the changes recently occurring in our daily lives, feeling lost and uncertain about life is becoming a very real part of your reality. Looking at yourself today, you realize that you are a shell of what you once used to be. The happiness, joy, and fulfillment of life that you once knew has become a distant memory. So much so that you no longer recognize the person staring back at you in the mirror. As each day passes, the feelings of being "stuck" have taken hold and it seems likely that there is no hope in sight. It's almost like being stuck in a bad dream that you can't wake up from.

My approach is geared towards increasing your coping skills and insight regarding your problem. I use cognitive/behavioral, interpersonal, and psychodynamic approaches. Your mental health matters and proactively making it a priority is critical in today's world. If you are finding this to be challenging, or if you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck, reaching out for help is a great (and brave) decision. My top priority is to help clients feel safe, seen and understood from the very beginning. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process, built around your goals and needs. I'll create and hold space for you to explore yourself, to identify what is holding you back or impacting your mental health, and to ultimately find a pathway to a healthier and happier version of yourself.

After raising a family, I returned to school, and have now enjoyed over a decade working as a clinical social worker with adults both in hospital and community based settings. Often, additional support is needed to find meaning and regain a sense of stability after loss, life transitions and both physical and mental illness. I work from a model of wellness that includes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. I pull from various theoretical perspectives based on what is appropriate for your needs.

Do you need to talk about something but don’t know exactly what it is? Does your mind tend to move fast but your body stays in place? Is anger, frustration, or sadness taking over your thoughts and guiding your decisions? If you answered 'YES' to any of these questions, then guess what? You are not alone. Our mental health affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life from childhood to adolescence, through adulthood. As a mental health professional, Darron Anderson has helped individuals and families
