I have expertise in supporting my clients in resolving trauma, learning to trust the wisdom of the body, dismantling internalized oppressive paradigms, resolving toxic relationship patterns, and cultivating love and safety with the parts of ourselves we are most afraid of.
I want to support you in healing in the deepest possible way. This has led me to explore the very roots of suffering, from the perspective of the ancient sages and from the perspective of modern trauma therapy. I support my people in experiencing the reality that exists beyond the bounds of the conditioned mind. I wield the wisdom of the body to facilitate deep transformation. I weave a nuanced understanding of the particular challenges modern minds face into what I offer to support my people in safely opening more and more fully to the freedom, love, and deep internal well-being available to us when we connect to who we truly are.

I specialize in Somatic Experiencing (therapy for resolving trauma/nervous system dysregulation and returning to resilience, flow and wellbeing in the nervous system) and Mindfulness/Spirituality.
My love is helping people learn to navigate the terrain of the body and to find the wisdom and freedom of feeling and ‘sensing’ as ways of knowing and healing. This domain is difficult to navigate alone - We live in a time when our nervous systems are deeply taxed and carry significant trauma, and in which the cultural resources for healing have been repressed or lost under the weight of systems of oppression. I want to help you find your way back to a sense of wholeness by listening to your innate wisdom. Please note- I only accept clients who have some form of contemplative practice because it creates a foundation for our work!

My specialty is helping clients quickly identify and resolve unconscious trauma that is currently interfering with their having a satisfactory life.
My experience is that the psychological symptoms we experience in the present are the ways we have tried to protect ourselves from the experience of the early trauma that we went through in childhood, and that by clearing the early trauma, we can release the symptoms in the present. My approach is to help clients identify and resolve the early trauma so they can have a joyous life in the present.

I respect the vulnerability involved in seeking help and work to build the connection and safety needed to support clients in both desired growth and acceptance of present realities. I value being kind, authentic, playful, and thoughtfully honest as a person and as a therapist.

Even in the middle of trauma, heartbreak, and uncertainty, still you can find joy. Even Still was born out of my deeply held belief that following the toughest moments of life, a comma lingers. Specializing in trauma and EMDR therapy, I create a safe space for healing and growth.
Many of us find ourselves stuck in deep-rooted patterns that were maybe at one time helpful and protective, but that no longer serve us. These patterns can make it hard for us to exist in the world how we would like to. Pain and discomfort are unavoidable parts of being human; my hope as a therapist is to empower you to live a meaningful life, even amid the difficulties that are part of the universal human experience.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
