This isn’t about a ‘failure to launch’ – not really. This is more about a failure to fail. Somewhere along the way, a lot of us got the idea stuck in our heads exactly what it means to succeed. The prospect of falling short of that ideal got so damn overwhelming, that we decided to side step trying just to avoid coming up short. Our program is about trudging through that concept. About doing the things. About learning through the evidence of your own experience. It’s about what comes next. When you think you’re ready, give us a shout. We work on the active-ingredients of the change-process. And we’ve been doing it for years.

Have you reached adulthood but don’t have the sense of belonging or fulfillment you thought was supposed to come with it? Something so basic has been missing for so long you feel stuck and embarrassed to talk about it. You are not alone. 1 in 10 men will experience anxiety or depression but less than half will seek treatment. Life can be a hell of a thing but as men the expectation is to just deal with it. Maybe you are just entering into the adult world and realize you will be making decisions that will forever alter the course of your life and want a no pressure place to talk about it.

I very much enjoy working with adolescents and transition age young adults. I love helping young people with the process of discovering who they are, what they want, and how to "adult" in the world. I particularly enjoy working with the intersection between self discovery and learning how to cope with the past. This can show up as understanding why you have the reactions that you do. It can also show up as figuring out who you want to be, sometimes different from how you were raised.

I am a South Asian therapist from India. I deeply understand what it means to be a Woman of Color in White spaces. I am a culturally sensitive & competent therapist who understands and emphasizes the importance of learning your cultural background and how it frames our perspective of the world. I understand that we truly exist through intersections and our identities shape how we "fit in" or "belong". My background stems from Rehabilitation and Counseling as well as working with a First Episode Psychosis clinic. I feel I bring a very rich level of knowledge to patients as they begin their journey to meeting their goals.

Welcome! I offer telehealth to individuals, couples and groups in NC, SC and FL. Counseling offers a safe, nonjudgmental, space for exploring the psyche, finding meaning in challenging life events, and experiencing a sense of hope. The counseling process can be creative and exciting, and at times, it can be difficult. I seek to be open, supportive, curious, and responsive to my clients as they navigate their journey. I lean toward a psychodynamic psychotherapy model, exploring how our attachment styles, family stories, coping mechanisms, and unconscious layers of thoughts and feelings influence our present day life.

You've tried everything and your child is still scared or angry and think they can't change. I work with children ages 3-13 to feel better and get along. They're not to blame for what's happened in their lives but do need to take responsibility for their actions. I support kids in not feeling broken or thinking they are "bad". I use play, art projects and stories to help them express feelings. I teach them skills to understand and manage their feelings and teach them to share their feelings to get support and feel safe.

I believe that every individual has the ability to change, grow, and work through life’s struggles. I enjoy working with a range of ages and concerns but I have a particular interest in work around trauma, attachment and repair, life transitions, and individuals impacted by narcissistic or emotionally immature family members. My job as your therapist is to partner with you to foster healing, introspection, and growth, by utilizing the strengths you already possess while building upon them. My foundation is a collaborative and non-judgmental approach to ensure clients feel empowered and understood.

My goal as a therapist is to help participants uncover their inner strength and ability to adapt to challenging life experiences. I enjoy creating new relationships based on the common goal of growth and I always attempt to make therapy an enjoyable experience, whether working with an 8 year old or a 49 year old! I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as well as the opportunities for nature and therapeutic activities to increase personal growth. Most importantly, I believe in the ability for positive change to occur with an individual who is dedicated to this pursuit.

I know personally how hard it can be to experience sexual/physical/emotional trauma/addiction/depression/grief/financial/relational ruin/overwhelming anxiety. Hoping to get through a day with the jaw clenching/palm sweating/handshakes/thoughts racing/heart pounding/doubting every idea/thought/emotion, asking will this be forever? Sometimes, you experience paralyzing nightmares or dreams that you are moving in slow motion and feel so alone and isolated when in a crowded room. Moreover, the constant dread (or the invisible weighted depression blanket). I get it; I've lived it and worked with many others who have.

I chose to enter the counseling field as a teen after I saw a counselor myself. My experience opened me up to learning to cope with things in a way that I had never learned. I was so changed by this process that I decided I wanted to give others what had been given to me.
