At various periods we all find ourselves in difficult circumstances that feel overwhelming, sometimes related to life changing tragedies like death, divorce, new medical diagnosis like cancer, job loss, or catastrophic injury. In these situations your life changes in an instant. There is an avalanche of distressing emotions and life no longer feels solid or stable. As a therapist who has experienced some serious, life changing tragedies, I understand those feelings and am specifically trained in grief and trauma.
I am old enough to know that life does not always lend itself to simplistic answers.
