My main strength is my ability to work with adults, parents, and adolescents that have either never been to therapy before, or those who have had a tough experience with it in the past. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome challenging transitions in their lives, recognizing and reversing harmful thought patterns, and using narrative techniques to help increase awareness and insight. Working together to form a therapeutic space that is completely personalized and comfortable is the first step.
Many people tend to have preconceived notions about what the word "therapy" means. Whether it was something they saw in a show or movie, or stories they had heard from friends about their experiences, people are oftentimes uncomfortable with the idea of seeing a therapist.
My treatment style and approach was developed with these things in mind. Treatment will take place in an environment where clients can discover what they want and need out of therapy in the most collaborative way possible in a space that they feel like they helped create.
