I am a therapist of color with 10+ years of experience as a Smith College Counseling Services staff therapist where I treat traditional-age students, Ada Comstock Scholars and graduate students and supervise MSW interns. My experience includes work in a community mental health outpatient clinic and as a crisis clinician in the Northampton area. I also provide clinical consultation to Smith School for Social Work masters students during the summer. I’m LGBTQ allied and an advocate for social justice. My practice is trauma-informed with person in environment and relational theoretical perspectives.
I work with clients to address relationship issues (community, peer, roommate, romantic and familial), issues of individuation/separation, identity, self-perceptions and cognitive distortions, with the goal of helping clients be their best selves. My interventions include talk therapy, CBT/DBT skills, couples/family consultations, and mindfulness practices.
My practice is compassionate, social justice minded, LGBTQ friendly, trauma-informed and tailored to meet clients where they are at, as they work toward where they would like to be, mentally and emotionally. NOT accepting new clients at this time.
