My work is driven by my interest in our shared creaturehood: how we function, what unites us, what experiences we carry, what stories we tell or keep hidden, and how we heal. In a therapeutic space, I invite clients to show up as they are and speak about what is most important to them, become more aware and tolerant of their bodily sensations and emotions, and make connections from past to present experiences. What are my clients' notions of a good life? What do pleasure, safety, well being, and fulfillment look and feel like to each of them?
In session, I offer my curiosity, attention, compassion, and support as we talk through life. I collaborate with clients to highlight strengths and inherent wisdom, welcoming humor in the process. I'm a strong supporter of an individual's right to live as closely aligned to who they are as possible, and I passionately support LGBTQIA+ clients on this path.
I am IFS-informed through the IFS Institute and am undertaking additional training in this model. I enjoy helping clients build better relationships with all parts of themselves.
