Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker and have practiced in Virginia since 2016. I take a relational approach to therapy and believe that the client-therapist alliance is integral to a client’s success with their therapy goals. The human experience is both a beautiful and often traumatic thing and it’s important to recognize how our body responds both biologically, as well as psychologically, to stressors as we find ways to cope effectively in life.
My practice approach is integrative. I draw on approaches including sensorimotor psychotherapy, trauma focused techniques, attachment theory, CBT, DBT, solution focused therapy, and somatic mindfulness. I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, family conflict, attachment issues, borderline personality disorder, and anger.
My goal with clients is to meet them where they are at and build a foundation of trust to best support their needs. I do not shy away from challenging my clients but I do so in a compassionate and supportive manner.
