I believe that we are created with potential for balance and harmony, however, life is not always easy, we may struggle at times to reach this balance. When we get "stuck" or face difficult challenges, we must first identify which areas of life need adjusting or strengthening, and then, we set out to make the necessary changes. Whether it is physical, emotional, spiritual or mental unbalance, we can positively impact our lives by starting to work in one area, and, since they are all connected, the rest will follow. The mind-body connection is undeniable, research and science favor an integrated approach to behavioral health.
My specialty is mood disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar and trauma. I work with child and adult trauma and PTSD, and with survivors of child abuse or domestic violence. I offer individual, couples and family sessions from a behavioral and relational approach. I work primarily with CBT, DBT and I tailor the treatment to your needs and personality.
I am culturally competent, I have lived overseas where I immersed myself in different cultural experiences. I have good knowledge of core beliefs and practices of major religions, Muslims, Hindu, Christian, Jewish, Taoist, Buddhist, etc. I am also LGBTQ affirming and I am fluent in Spanish language and culture. COVID19 Worker's Support Group
This group is for First Responders, ER and ICU workers, Law enforcement, EMTs , Firefighters, and all who deal with high stress involving life and death scenarios related to COVID19. First responders normally work long hours, under incredible demands. This jobs can drain them of physical and mental energy. We want to support those who carry the weight of keeping our community safe, the ones at the front of this battle. Group will be held online until further notice.
