Family dynamics can be difficult to navigate. I work with adult children who have difficult or strained relationships with their parents or other family members. If you feel a sense of shame or guilt when talking about how you feel towards your parents, or have even considered estrangement, I invite you to book a session with me. I take a psychoanalytical approach to therapy, where we look into the entire picture of your life- upbringing, environment, major life events, relationships, childhood trauma - and how this impacts who you are today.
If you have ever felt stuck in the same pattern in your life or hold strong negative beliefs that you can't seem to shake, then EMDR might be great for you. While in therapy, I integrate EMDR and a parts-work approach to connect with parts of yourself that may need healing, desensitize from what holds you back and develop a more confident sense of self.
The challenges and trauma we face may be a part of our story, but it does not have to define who we are. My goal is to help you discover your voice, grow confidence in your identity, and develop resilience despite adversity.
