I love that there is always room for discovery in life. I see therapy as an avenue for self-exploration, creating movement, healing and growth. Life challenges and hardship can stall movement. This often leads to feeling anxious, afraid, angry, shameful, depressed and stuck. Therapy can be an effective tool in creating healthy resolution to issues that create suffering, deepening your awareness and self-acceptance, allowing you to experience more joy, peace, pleasure and authenticity in your life. My approach is person centered, creative, down to earth and often playful, respecting uniqueness and honoring the vulnerability necessary to be genuine.
I utilize somatic therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, CBT, humor, body movement and other techniques to support healing. I have specialized training and experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety, attachment wounds and PTSD. I am interested in the connection between emotions and physical pain, and trauma's effect on the body.
I enjoy working with motivated individuals interested in self-discovery, empowerment and healing. I also work with people suffering from compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, grief, and most life transition issues. My office is on the ground floor and accessible to those experiencing physical challenges.
