The creative arts can help us heal more deeply, powerfully, and quickly! I utilize a nurturing and effective approach to anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma, through the use of talk therapy, drama, and creative arts approaches. Drawing from Narradrama and Positive Psychology techniques, I help clients disentangle themselves from the problematic narratives they tell about their lives, allowing for new, more empowering perspectives and solutions. The work tends to be shorter term therapy. I also work with clients to develop the parts of them that haven’t gotten enough attention or balance out roles within themselves.
Narradrama offers a gentle, yet direct approach, so clients see deep transitions within themselves, rather than going in circles and rehashing the same difficulties, setbacks and frustrations over and over again. Through the use of conversation, writing, journaling, art, and drama exercises, clients find inner resources and the wisdom to move forward.
I've worked in theater, psychology, and coaching for 20 years, using drama therapy for the last eight years. I teach Drama Therapy at MSU. I've led workshops at: Montclair Cooperative School, Cornerstone Montclair, Montclair Baby, Luna Stage, Bergen County Division of Family Health, and practiced at Tempo! Music Therapy and Ben Samuels Children's Center.

I am creating a supportive group where individuals can develop autobiographical therapeutic performances. Personal therapeutic performances can be a wonderful way to be heard, witnessed, and to transform aspects of our lives. No performance experience necessary. This work is great for writers, actors, creative types, and those who want to delve into a process which allows for a fuller and healthier way to view events and obstacles in their lives, leading to more empowerment.
