I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from Florida State University. As a first-generation Arab-American growing up in Florida, I have struggled with the intersectionality of my identity and finding community. My goal is to empower my clients to embrace their various cultural backgrounds, gender identity, and sexual orientation to be their genuine selves and make space for themselves in their lives. Together we can achieve these and other goals through learning some helpful skills, but also by remaining open, curious and compassionate with ourselves.
My mission is to provide safe, inclusive, affirming and individualized education and care for all my clients. I strive to help clients heal from colonialism, dismantle learned oppression from imperialist systems, and am pro-collective healing and care.
I have a special interest in helping my clients understand who they are and what they value as a person, and finding space for themselves in a world where they may not feel seen or heard. I also have a very special place in my heart women struggling with perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety. I worked in a women's OB clinic for a number of years.
