I am dedicated to working alongside clients from marginalized ethnic and cultural backgrounds. More specifically, I specialize in working with queer and trans people who South Asians, immigrants, BIPOC, religious minorities (Muslim, Hindu, Jewish etc.) and in nontraditional relationship structures.
I strive to be an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed therapist, who takes into account the interpersonal traumas as well as systemic injustices we face due to our identities, and how these manifest in our lives. I truly believe that these experiences of privilege and oppression shape our daily experiences, relationships, and therapy.
I work to be attentive to both the privileges and oppressions that come along with my various identities, and enjoy working with people who are also on this journey. I use a decolonial co-healing approach, that invites both the therapist and client to show up fully and authentically.
