Hi this is Dhan/DP from Multicultural Counseling and Consulting. When you need a therapist, you need someone who can listen to you wholly and understand cultural sensitivities. I believe in meeting at person-in-environment paradigm and building a therapeutic rapport from there. I will help to manage daily stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. I will offer you choices, clarify issues or provide guidance to lead you on your way. In over all, I’m here to provide you a safe space and listen to you non-judgmentally. I have extensive experience working with clients of different cultural backgrounds since 2010.
I support my client from trauma perspective by addressing negative core beliefs (EMDR) if there are any. I utilize CBT and DBT skills as well. I deliver our progress in numbers. I have strong science and mathematical knowledge, I like to convert your subjective feelings into an objective data and measure progress of our therapeutic work together.
If you are contemplating therapy, I am here to help you explore changes through motivational interviewing. If you are a recent immigrant or first generation children and looking for a therapist with shared living experience, I will be there to support you.
