It may be that your relationship is stable and works well, but there is an issue or two you get stuck on.
Do you feel stuck in communicating with your partner, having the same arguments over and over; you can't seem to work through things? I can help you identify that negative pattern, and learn to step out of it and rediscover love and happiness. I do that with couples by looking at the ways that they get stuck or disconnected. Maybe you are also struggling with feeling the need for more comfort or understanding or needing to regain lost trust. What you and I will do is look at what prevents those things from happening right now in your relationship.

Together we focus on solutions rather than problems, and as such help people: Move from being down to being up; Turn inner turmoil to inner peace; Resolve marriage & relationship conflicts; Tolerate the unbearable misery of illness; Turn life stress into life balance; Move from worry & fear to peace & confidence.
Odds are that you are reading this because you are frustrated with at least one aspect of your life. And…you are sick of feeling helpless, hopeless, and stuck. Perhaps your stress has gotten so severe that you have begun experiencing actual medical symptoms, panic, depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or a grief reaction. Finally, you are now ready to roll up your sleeves and make some changes. Of course, change isn’t easy. But, inherently, we all know that if we don’t change we…calcify. Are you ready for positive change now?

Couples, families, and individuals get stuck in patterns that disrupt the pursuit of connection and belonging. Building relationships with self and gaining insight into healing processes within us, leads to healing and increased ability engage in life. A safe, respectful, confidential setting improves the therapeutic relationship and leads to a more holistic approach to health and wellness. Substance use, behaviors, secrets, and many other traits contribute to one's inability to connect with others. Specializing in Substance use disorders and families, we can walk through the process with the entire family.

I am a trauma focused, relationship based therapist drawn to working with both adolescents and adults.
Psychotherapy can be hard. At times, therapy can involve discussing aspects of your history that can feel uncomfortable. Sometimes this process can induce temporary feelings like grief, anger, or anxiety. My goal for our therapeutic relationship is to stay engaged in understanding and moving through your "stuff" in order for you to have good problem solving and good relationships. Your progress through these issues is not a race. We will work together to find the most effective way to improve the quality of your life with the least amount of disruption and distress.

I work with both individuals and couples to provide support as we move towards experiencing challenging emotions that realign healthy and empowering connection and relationship both to oneself and others.
Hi my name is Lida Running Crane and I have recently transitioned to private practice after being a clinician at a local agency working primarily with our local urban Indigenous community for just short of nine years. I subsequently co-founded Aitapissko Counseling Collective LLC, the shared professional home in which my colleagues and I continue to offer quality mental health and addiction counseling to our local community. I earned my masters in counseling from the University of Montana in 2016 with my NCC, became an LCPC in 2018, and an LAC in 2020.

My clients describe me as warm, curious, and genuine, with expertise in relationship issues, identity development, experiences of oppression, trauma, anxiety and depression.
In my role as a psychologist, I work closely with individuals grappling with various challenges that are impacting their well-being, relationships, and overall functioning. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey towards healing, insight, and meaningful change. Together, we delve into the roots of distress, uncovering patterns in thinking, feeling, and behaving that perpetuate it. We also address barriers to change and plan practical steps for lasting relief. Through this process, individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering confidence, security, and meaningful connections.

I enjoy working with all ages on a variety of challenges, particularly addiction and relationship problems.
Life can be very challenging and overwhelming, and our natural tendency is to freeze or flee from our issues. However the best solution is to walk through them, and I can help you in that process. I like to listen intently to hurting or frustrated people who are stuck in addictions, toxic relationships, depression, anxiety, and confusing situations and help them come up with solutions that will work. It's important to feel supported when we're overwhelmed, and I make that my primary goal.

I have also sought specialization and obtained advanced training in couples/ relationship/marriage counseling, addictive/dual diagnosis disorders, and neurodivergent populations.
I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative effort to improve overall life-quality by supporting your personal growth. In addition to developing skills for managing cognitive/emotional challenges, we will also focus on discovering and enhancing your existing talents and abilities. As a professor of courses on theory, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment, I stay appraised of the latest developments in the field. I also specialize in relationship counseling and dual-diagnosis clients (and hold dual-licenses). On a personal note, as a professional musician I encourage integration of art and creativity into counseling.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
