My passion is to help and empower people to navigate through their journeys by providing compassionate and attentive clinical treatment. Through the use of attachment-based therapy, I work with clients to develop a strong connection and professional relationship that allows clients to feel safe, respected, and heard. I also practice using modalities and interventions from sensorimotor psychotherapy to assist in regulating the autonomic nervous system. I have experience working with maternal mental health, trauma, depression, anxiety, and many other mental health needs.

I am driven to work with individuals to reach their goals. I am passionate in finding a path to reach a goal, be it the easy or hard route, I am along for the ride. I have extensive history in working with families and children, who have faced an array of challenges, such as divorces, transitions to college, guardianship changes, and behavioral issues. I also have worked closely with LGBTQ+ teens and adults, creating groups to increase social connections, fighting for rights in school and political realms, and exploring sense of identity.

We work with children, teens, parents, and adults from all walks of life, with all sorts of struggles to gain insight about what you value, who you are, and what matters most. I believe the heart of therapy is an authentic and trusting relationship. I have a down-to-earth and gentle nature and am known for my humor, warmth, curiosity, and compassion. I believe all people have the spirit and wisdom to become the best version of their self and I work collaboratively with clients to help explore what may be getting in the way of their natural healing capacity. I work well with adults struggling with depression, anger, stress, anxiety, trauma, relationships issues, drug and alcohol concerns, and self-esteem issues.

I fundamentally believe in your innate capacity to understand yourself better than anyone else. My goal is to cultivate a therapeutic setting that is affirming, empathetic, and validating, echoing the words of Carl Rogers: “It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, and what experiences have been deeply buried.”

I believe that growth and change is a necessary process for individuals, relationships and family systems. My role as a therapist for the past 23 years has been to provide a catalyst for this change process. I use techniques that are evidence based, current and provide consistent results.

I believe the therapeutic process should include trust and non-judgment as its foundation. Attachment Theory influences my practice. I have 22 years of experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma as well as adolescents and adults who face life stressors. I enjoy working with a variety of needs and populations.

In collaboration with you, my practice is focused on delivering couples and individual therapy for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or relationship challenges. I provide therapy and interventions through an attachment lens, with your needs and priorities in mind. I offer a strengths-based practice aimed at providing services to adolescents, adults & families in the scope of addiction, trauma, disordered eating, behavioral health, reproductive health/infertility & life transitions. I utilized a mixed approach to therapy centered around self-compassion, motivational enhancement, cognitive behavioral therapy, communication skills, and mind/body connection. Other methodology is applied as appropriate. My goal is to meet Client's where they are in their therapeutic process, encourage them to be an active participant in their own care and provide usable skills to be used outside of therapy.
