My name is Thaddeus Widmer, LCSW. I have a diverse amount of experience in the counseling arena. I work with many youth, young adults, adults, couples and families who are wanting to improve the quality of their life. I work in unison with each person, while guiding and supporting them in their personal discoveries to facilitate change. It is important for those I work with to feel confidant, comfortable and empowered while not feeling judged throughout the process. I am excited and motivated to work along side you, your child(ren) and/or family. It is always better to call. Emails people do not always get my response.

Whether it's kids dealing with tough situations, teens figuring out who they are, or adults facing personal challenges, I'm here to support you at every stage of life. Dr. Lindsey Fite is an occupational therapist devoted to providing holistic, individualized, strengths-based care for the mental health community. She has special interest in early intervention for mental health, and is experienced in working with youth and trauma, addiction, and early mental health conditions that affect participation in meaningful experiences and healthy developmental opportunities. She works with people of all ages experiencing severe mental illness, addiction, brain injury, trauma, grief and loss, death and dying, sensory challenges, anxiety/depression, neurocognitive challenges and life with chronic conditions.

My focus as a therapist is to support clients in whatever path they're currently on and provide them with a quality therapeutic experience to meet individualized goals.I offer individual (adult or child), couples and family therapy for a variety of reasons. My passion is in working with families/individuals in the perinatal/postpartum season of life and all of the trials, tribulations, and change that accompany it.

I have been working in the Mental Health field for over 15 yrs. During my career I have focused on assisting clients with life transitions, perinatal mental health, parenting, relationships, depression, anxiety, stress management, behavioral issues, substance use, psychoses and general life difficulties.

I have learned that the heart and success of therapy is a safe and trusting relationship /environment where people can grow. I work to provide this safety in a supportive and non judgmental environment which empowers and encourages this. My role is to be empathic and support/guide this growth as well as to give clients a greater understanding of themselves. I see us all as unique and gifted and value the varying depths and needs of people.

Every individual comes to counseling with a different life story and how that story impacts them. Some people will come to therapy with a starting point in mind, and others may need guidance to know where to even begin. Our relationship can begin in either place; my goal is to support you in finding healing and experiencing growth wherever you are in your journey. I believe that everyone deserves personalized support when it comes to managing their mental health. As a biracial counselor, I understand the unique challenges you may be facing and work with you to develop a personalized plan.

I also appreciate working with humans struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and various forms of grief. I am unequivocally human centered.

Please note: I do not have openings for new clients. I work with adults who are struggling with day to day stresses, life transitions or survivors of trauma. I have worked within the fields of trauma and mental health for over 20 years. I believe the foundation of belonging, sense of well-being and change is grounded in relationships, how we interact and how we are supported by others. Whether you are struggling with feelings of depression, anxiety, family conflict or past experience with trauma, I view my role as someone who is neutral and a facilitator of the process in which self-worth is strengthened and persons supported.

My approach to therapy is strengths based and client centered, providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for my clients to grow, change and heal. My goal is to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship from which people can process feelings and relationships, feel heard and validated, create and work towards their own goals, build insight and confidence, and develop helpful skills and tools to change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors.

My counseling experience includes working with children, individuals, couples, and families. My approach is gentle, safe and non-judgmental. Each individual, couple, and family is unique, thus I provide varying treatment approaches. I draw on approaches that integrate mind-body-spirit; behavioral; and strength-based. When I work with couples and families I drawn from a systematic approach, meaning the couple and/or family unit functions as a whole and when one person is struggling, so is the rest of the family. My role is to help assist you in discovering the unhealthy patterns that are keeping you stuck.
