Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Issues, Family and Relationship Issues, Peer Conflict, Anger and Substance Abuse are some of the common issues I’ve addressed in session with clients. I have worked with children and families for over 40 years. My goal in life has been to make a difference in the life of a child, helping them to feel good about themselves and teaching them skills to cope with whatever circumstances have led to their emotional or behavioral problems. I also strongly believe in working closely with the parents of the children I work with, helping them to understand and accept what is happening with their child and providing them with support and skills to interact with their child in positive and productive ways. Making a commitment to therapy can result in children that are happy and successful.

I have expertise in comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and helping parents better understand and help their children when they have difficulties with inattention, oppositional behaviors, anxiety, interpersonal problems, emotion regulation, or coping with stress. Brittany primarily works with children, adolescences and teens ranging from ages 3-18. Brittany does work with some adults focusing on trauma related concerns. She has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and legal concerns. Some evidence-based techniques that she has used in sessions include, play therapy, art therapy, DBT, and trauma focused techniques.

I have been a mental health therapist for over 19 years and have worked in a variety of settings. The former director of a state recognized day treatment program for emotionally disturbed children, I have worked in the substance abuse field and treated adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, trauma and sexual abuse, just to name a few.
