I am trained to help people solve and adapt to the many problems that can emerge in life, either from circumstances, events, people, emotions, or even medical issues. I truly enjoy supporting others through difficult times or life transitions! Sometimes nothing is really wrong in life, but people struggle to reach their personal growth goals. This is an area I also am trained in. I treat depression, low motivation, mood swings, anger, anxiety, panic attacks, and traumatic exposures. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which helps empower you to overcome challenges and also gives you coping skills that last a lifetime.

I have been in private practice as a licensed clinical social work. since 1989. I have a master's degree from Tulane University where I served on the advisory board for the School of Social Work. I was a consultant at the Master's and Johnson Sexual Trauma Unit in New Orleans, trained in critical incident debriefing, and served as a divorce and custody mediator for the courts in Louisiana. I enjoy working with adults both individually and as couples. I enjoy helping people find patterns that no longer work for them and teaching new strategies for coping and growing.

I am passionate about helping individuals reach their mental wellness goals. I believe a person's mental wellness is key to a healthier lifestyle. I am passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and those 25-64 years old as it relates to their mental health needs rather it be anxiety, trauma, family issues, or depression. My goal is to help individuals use their person strengths to address their mental health concerns.

Dr. Nosen has been providing evidence-based assessment and therapy since 2005. She specializes in treating adults experiencing anxiety, posttraumatic stress, depression, insomnia, alcohol and substance use. She primarily works from a cognitive-behavioral approach, tailoring treatments to help you develop insight, learn new ways of coping, and plan strategic changes to help you meet your personal goals.
