I am here to help break the stigma of mental health and to assist my clients with understanding that taking care of their mental health is just as important as taking care of their physical health. I will assist my clients with normalizing the expression of their feelings and developing and implementing tools for coping with daily stressors that impact their emotional and mental well-being. I will assist my clients with identifying and processing any obstacles or barriers that may contribute to any impairment of their overall daily functioning.
I will incorporate an eclectic theory of practice that includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychoeducation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Art Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and more!
For my clients, I will begin each session by building rapport and breaking the ice. I will reassure my clients that being in therapy with me is a safe space for them to be vulnerable and to let their guards down without being judged. I will make sure that my body language and demeaning is congruent with the help I am verbalizing.
