Hi, my name is Morgan DeForest, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the Los Angeles, California area. My viewpoint of therapy is to help individuals grow and be able to understand themselves and others with a clearer lens. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling in many different areas with an attachment and family systems approach. I believe that therapy is a truly personal experience. The decision to seek support is a courageous one. As your therapist, I feel honored to hear your story and work through the difficulties that life brings.
My treatments are rooted in Attachment-Based, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Family Systems Theories. Based on your individual goals and needs, I may integrate mindfulness-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or trauma-focused therapy.
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This process starts with collaboration, helping the individual feel comfortable, and building trust between one another. I love working together to find goals that can help one grow.
