I was drawn to practice therapy out of a desire to honor the inherent worthiness of people, provide empathy and space for our shared human vulnerabilities and to give encouragement in the process of finding wholeness. I am a licensed social worker and have been working in the mental health field since 2007 in a variety of settings including shelter, emergency, and clinical practices while gaining experience in multiple therapeutic approaches and with a diverse clientele. I have been described as warm, engaged and compassionate; it is my highest priority to create a space that is safe, trusting, and nurturing.
I specialize in working with adults of all ages with symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, trauma, shame, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life changes, panic, grief, loss, vocational questions, fertility decisions and difficulties, pre- and postpartum symptoms and with those generally interested in process work for increased personal insight and growth.
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness, Problem Solving Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and incorporate traditions of somatic therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
