I am Mone't Smith, a licensed professional counselor who has been providing therapy services for over 8 years. My vast experiences include inpatient and outpatient mental health care, school counseling, grief counseling, individual sessions for adults and teenagers, group sessions in mental health and substance abuse. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR therapy is used to treat trauma, distressing life experiences, depression, and anxiety. Our strengths include working with various forms of traumatic experiences and helping clients break free from childhood trauma.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to meet each client’s specific needs, with a primary emphasis on evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness and motivation, stress relief skills, and client-centered therapy.
