If life has felt particularly hard or upsetting recently, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. As a psychotherapist, I meet with people living with anxiety, depression, grief and more. I frequently work with adults who have experienced childhood trauma, helping them to understand past experiences and thrive in the present and future. My clients have often realized that their current coping skills are no longer working, and in seeking therapy are taking an important, difficult and necessary step to feel better.
I draw on my advanced training in psychodynamic therapy to get to what's underneath feelings, thoughts and behavior. This often means exploring personal history, family background, foundational experiences and key relationships in your life, as well as hopes for the future – all of which may impact how you're feeling today.
I focus on building trust as a necessary base to begin our work. I bring empathy, curiosity, and an open mind to each meeting. I practice therapy as a collaboration and will actively listen to you when you tell me who you are and how you feel. I’m happy to discuss what this might look like for you. Please reach out to set up an initial session.
