I believe that each person is unique and therefore requires an individualized approach to therapy. From day one, you will feel involved in your therapy and feel confident that we are working towards your goals. You will feel seen and heard. My goal is to get you to a place where you can experience all of your emotions in a safe and healthy way. I may be a good fit for you if you: 1) want to gain and use coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, or ADHD, 2) want to improve personal relationships, 3) want to have a say in your therapeutic journey, 4) need a safe space, or 5) want to enhance your self esteem.
My specialties include children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with people struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, as well as separation from parents due to substance use, divorce, incarceration, and death. I have assisted clients in developing coping skills, enhancing self esteem, and improving relationships.
I view therapy like drivers ed. You are in the driver seat and I am right next to you. You tell me what you want the final destination to be and what sites you want to visit. I am there to help guide you there, make sure that we don't go off road, and hit the brakes as needed. You drive the car but we go on the journey together.
