My approach is to provide a non-judgmental and caring place to allow you a positive counseling experience. Many people who I treat seek counseling for the first time -- to work through a crisis--to stop the pain--to feel better about themselves. I understand the struggle and the desire to feel and be better. If you are willing to share your story and engage in the process, I look forward to working with you. I have 20 years of experience working with adolescents, college-age students, student athletes and adults in crisis.
I work with Adult Women who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Life Transitions and Relationship Issues amongst others. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and reach a place of peace and increased life satisfaction. With each client I have respect, compassion and a non-judgmental attitude and recognize that each client is unique.
To help your healing and growth process, I utilize a number of different styles in a holistic way to understand and treat the whole person: strengths-based counseling, uncovering unhealthy thought processes/patterns, anxiety reduction tools, mood improvement strategies, mindfulness and meditation.
