I look forward to working with clients who are feeling stuck, have a sense of stagnation in their lives, have been unable to make change, or adjust to transitions. This could be in the context of relationships, family, career, or inner life. Therapy is a place where together we can explore a client's personal values, uncover barriers to growth, identify patterns of thought and behavior that the client was previously unaware of, and improve quality of life. In therapy, we will work towards increased knowledge of self, personal growth, resiliency, identity, courage, and self-determination.
With couples, I work with attachment, communication, patterns of behavior, and adjustment to major life transitions. My overall goal is to help couples reach a greater understanding of each other's needs and wants within the relationship. With families, I assist family members in understanding the system they are a part of and the dynamics occurring.
Therapy provides a place to explore oneself. I help my clients be providing a consistent, safe, and warm space to explore and discover more about themselves. I invite clients to discuss all aspects of their lives and together we work to identify which parts of their lives are showing up in present issues.
