They may feel overly emotional, extra sensitive, or broken. People working with me want to improve how they function in their daily lives, may have trauma, or other mental health difficulties. Additionally, parents who seek me out feel like their children are out of control, are struggling in school, have behaviors at home, or are struggling with life changes.
We can work together to develop appropriate coping skills, improve communication skills, develop healthy boundaries, uncover the root of the problem, and find peace of mind using techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy practices. For children, we will utilize techniques found in play and sandtray therapy.
I understand what it is like to be a child living through family dysfunction. I decided I wanted to be there for kids like me who are struggling to understand what is going on in their family and what to do with those emotions.
