I started to work in the Psychology field in 1989. I have experience in counseling many different clients from several different backgrounds. I provided personal counseling for employees, individual and group counseling for adolescents an adults. Currently, I provide Couples/Marriage Counseling and Individual Counseling for adults. I hold a BA in Psychology, and earned my Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Missouri-St.Louis.

After 28 years of counseling individuals, couples and families, and growing the love in a 30+ year marriage myself, I feel privileged to say I specialize in "Relationships." I love inspiring people to look more within themselves for happiness, security, and value; and to understand that friction in relationships can help us grow, and grow closer. Those open to change benefit most; a healthy couple takes healthy people. I also see adults individually, many with relationship challenges, but also seeking help with concerns like low self worth, anxiety, sadness, depression, negative thoughts, addictions, feeling stuck/unfulfilled.

I seek to provide counseling to couples and individuals, both adults and adolescents. I work with interpersonal, relationship issues including: family of origin dynamics, trauma and maladaptive coping patterns, marriage and pre-marital counseling, improving communication skills, self-image and identity, managing anger, and men's sexual addiction.

I offer appointments from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm to work with your schedule. I work to find the strengths people have within themselves. Individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with a variety of issues, including Anger, Depression, and Anxiety. Clients who benefit from my services appreciate my delicate sense of humor while confronting complex issues. The use of humor can be an uplifting experience in treatment.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 24 years of experience working both as a therapist and doing community-based crisis intervention. I enjoy helping clients to maximize their potential by focusing upon their strengths and past successes. I believe that therapy is a cooperative endeavor that should assist the client in discovering his/her/their own abilities and coping strategies. I relish the opportunity to support clients through trying situations and to help them to process grief. I speak at conferences on HIV/AIDS, work with LGBTQIA+ clients, and other topics. I served on the HIV service funding Planning Council.

I specialize in issues related to peer and relationship issues, both premarital and marriage related. My concentration areas are couples, but I work with individuals, too!

He is currently working to complete the Licensed Addiction Counselor Credential. He accepts in-person and on-line clients. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Missouri, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado and Michigan, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Mexico. He has 21 years of experience counseling children, adolescents and adults. He has extensive training in communication skills for couples. He uses solution-focused treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. He speaks English.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide individual, couple, and family therapy for a variety of clinical issues from psychodynamic and family systems perspectives. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, abuse recovery (sexual, physical and emotional), relationship problems, adults and adolescents.
