During the human experience, we will have struggles along the way. There are times we don't understand our own actions. We decide to take one approach to solve our problems and find ourselves doing something opposite of what we intended on doing. It is in those moments that we ask ourselves "How did I get here?" As a counselor for over 16 years, I partner with people to find their answers and to unlock their solutions. I have a solution-focused approach that assists clients in reestablishing balance, developing coping skills, and educating them on techniques and strategies to improve their capabilities.

I am honored to sit with individuals and couples as they wrestle through questions of meaning, purpose, and pain towards joy, hope, and more abundant life. I see it as my role as a counselor to collaborate with clients to help clarify thought patterns, recognize and honor emotions, and work to better navigate the systems which influence outlook and behavior, be they societal, familial, or cultural.

Life is complicated. Both my professional experiences and my own life experiences have taught me this. Women in particular experience unique challenges in today's world. We are faced with pressure from many sources, both internally and externally. I specialize in working with women of all ages, including teen girls. I offer secure, confidential video sessions so you can participate in therapy from the comfort of your home. As women we are often so busy with other responsibilities, that we put ourselves on the back burner. This is an opportunity to take care of you! You deserve it!

Whether it be little moments or big ones, it is my belief that we have all experienced some degree of trauma in life. No matter the degree, the impact on us can be significant. In trying to make sense of these experiences, we can all benefit from having witnesses to our experiences and pain. We are not meant to live life alone. For many this leads us to look for a therapist. As a therapist, but also just as a person, it is an honor each time I am invited to bear witness to someone else's story.

Perhaps you're in a relationship, family or job where it feels like everything is always your fault. You're made to feel not good enough, that you have to try harder despite the other never taking accountability. You have difficulty expressing yourself in fear of the other person throwing it back in your face. Perhaps this mounting pressure from those relationships has made you give up, anxious, or just feel stuck. You don't know who you are anymore—you’ve been told how to think and feel. You may feel like you’re in a fog or just don’t know how to get back on track to the way things used to be.

To share your story and start a journey toward healing is profoundly brave and admirable. Being entrusted to walk alongside those who are willing to take that risk is a privilege that I don’t take lightly. I count it as a tremendous honor to be invited to sit with the clients I work with, in moments of vulnerability and hurt and in those of victory and celebration.
