I have significant experience working with high school and college age students with their individual issues and helping their families work through family conflicts that arise during these developmental years. In the process of this, I have worked extensively with persons experiencing anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, identity issues, self-harm, bullying and interpersonal conflict. By virtue of working with families in these developmental stages, I also am asked to do pre-marital and marital therapy for a variety of age groups.

I'm Kimberly and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist located in Downtown Lee's Summit. I work with teens (17+), individual adults, and couples. I often work with clients that are struggling with depression, anxiety, difficult relationship dynamics, grief & loss, stress & burnout, or life transitions such as high school seniors, college students, young professionals, pre-marital couples, expecting and new parents. I am trained in EMDR, which may be helpful in healing from trauma and other experiences that have been difficult to move past.

JUNE 2024: Only accepting new clients for therapy intensives. I am a specialist who works with adults and teens ages 14+ on intense anxiety, trauma and complex trauma, dissociation, and personality disorders. My clients come in saying they feel numb and irritable or outright angry at the world. They feel like they are in constant fight or flight mode and teetering on collapse. They want to be able to authentically connect with others and to feel peace and contentment, but are not sure how. Most importantly, my clients want to solve their problems, stop repetitive patterns, and move on with with their lives.

My areas of expertise are trauma and ptsd, chronic illness and physical disabilities, chronic pain, stress, substance use or addiction, and mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc.). I am a secular therapist and provide telehealth services throughout Missouri and in person services in Kansas City, MO. Additionally, I have experience in working on burnout, existential, identity, and career concerns.
