The primary aim of my therapy is to support clients in achieving greater emotional and social fulfillment by facilitating positive changes. In our therapy sessions, I leverage my extensive knowledge and skills in cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, and parent coaching to adopt a person-centered and solution-focused approach. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Mediator working with children, teens, individuals, couples and families in a private practice in Creve Coeur. I have experience working with people diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Conduct Disorder, and Abuse. From 2002 until 2014 I was an Adolescent Therapist and Clinical Administrator at Logos School. Throughout my professional experience I have guided many adolescents, young adults and their families toward attaining their emotional, social and academic goals. I have established effective therapeutic relationships with individuals suffering from a variety of disorders and issues including but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar, OCD, ODD, Conduct Disorder, grief and loss, self-injurious behavior, school phobia, substance abuse and others. I believe that everyone has a voice that deserves to be heard and I am here to listen.

My speciality is treating children with attachment disturbances. Most of the children I see have been adopted, but many have had other medical and other relationship traumas that have contributed to their current acting out or anxiety issues. Many of the children I see have been previously diagnosed as having Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, ADHD, and Bi-Polar Disorders. I also see adults who have experienced childhood trauma.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families from a relational, trauma informed, attachment informed, developmental perspective. Trained in child psychotherapy, couples therapy and family therapy, I work to understand clients within the context of their primary and family relationships. I especially enjoy working with couples and families. I work to identify the emotional and interpersonal obstacles to further growth, and build on the strength and resilience of the individual, couple and family. .I have experience working with children and adolescents experiencing the full range of emotional, social and developmental difficulties.

I specialize in working with families who have had, or are going through a divorce or parental separation. Chronic conflict will have a lasting negative effect on you and your children BUT if you are able to manage your emotions and parent successfully, you and your children can thrive in the future. It is important to develop a good coparenting relationship and make sure your children have the support they need to deal with divorce/separation issues. In order to facilitate a positive outcome for families, I provide Coparent Counseling, Family Therapy, Reunification Therapy Group and Individual Therapy (adult and child).
