Waitlist for new clients
I am a passionate and dedicated counselor who longs to see healing and redemption in the lives of the wounded and the broken. My clients are those who have experienced trauma, abuse, and suffering and consequently have seen the affects of their suffering result in anxiety, depression, addictions, eating disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, and more. My clients often have little awareness of just how resilient and courageous they are, but enduring and surviving trauma is not an easy thing. It is my greatest honor to walk alongside survivors as they fight for hope and healing and discover just how strong they are.

My passion for therapy originated from personal experiences with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship problems.
Mental health issues can manifest in unexpected ways. Do you experience unexplained irritability? Hyper-criticism of yourself and others? Mood swings without any clear cause? Feeling overwhelmed to the point of being unable to organize your day? If so, it's worth considering whether you may be struggling with trauma, anxiety, or depression. Perhaps you may be experiencing Relationship Trauma. Do you ever find yourself constantly questioning or doubting what you once believed to be true? Did everything seem perfect in the beginning, but now you can barely recognize the person in front of you?

(Yes, people actually look forward to coming) I have a niche in anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma and crisis.
Accepting New Clients! You're not sure when it started or why, but something feels off. You feel the pressure building as you try to balance the things that take your time and energy in life. You want to feel happy, but it doesn't feel available to you. Maybe you've learned to approach life with grit and determination, appearing confident and self-sufficient on the outside, but feeling unfulfilled, unsupported, and disconnected in the inside.

Throughout my time in the mental health field, I've gained experience working with those who suffer from things such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD/trauma and stress-related disorders, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, and much more.
Struggling to find happiness in what you once did? Feeling out of control or alone? Worried about your child or teen? Life isn't easy, and sometimes we need a little help along the way. As an experienced mental health professional, I've gotten the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, seeking support for a broad spectrum of concerns. Despite all of these differences, we as humans share the ability to grow, thrive, and improve our quality of life. Given the appropriate amount of care, change is possible.

My specialty is Grief, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, First Responders and Sports/School/Job Performance.
I have a passion to assist you in overcoming adversity and facing your mental health concerns. Empathy, open-mindedness, and communication are my core values. My path to counseling began very young through my own personal experience with loss of life, which lead me to the path to helping others. I understand that missing our loved ones and being depressed is normal, and the key to grieving is to find a way to form a new relationship with the one we lost. In addition, through my collegiate student-athlete experience I understand the delicate balance of being a student-athlete, including the pressures that come along with it.

In my ten years as a counselor, it's been my privilege to care for men, teens, and couples wrestling with depression, stress, and anxiety; addiction (drugs and alcohol; gambling; sexual...); the grief involved with divorce; the struggles associated with life's transitions; difficulties in school and relationships; and family conflict. My hope is that the men and women I talk to would be able to experience intimacy in their relationships, fullness of life, and find success in their daily lives.

I love working with best friends who are trying to get their sexual spark back. Many of my clients have been together for years and actually get along pretty well. They have good communication, they are partnered well and they treat each other with respect. However, they struggle to want to have sex with one another. They love each other and enjoy each other's time, but they struggle to take sexual chances, try new things and have fun in the bedroom. They essentially have "friend zoned" each other. My work is to help give these couples that special nudge to make sex a priority and enjoy sex again as a team.

Still waiting for life to get easier? Yeah, me too. Sometimes when we’re depressed or anxious it feels like this is how it will always be. If you look closely, there may be actions and changes in perspective you can take to feel more alive, stronger, and just maybe, happier. This is where I can help you discover and work with life traps, those pesky recurring patterns that we all carry, but wish we had less of (or none of!).

SE is a psychobiological method for resolving trauma symptoms and relieving chronic stress.
Sometimes you can feel like you are all alone in life. Like no one can understand the deep internal pain you are feeling and you don’t know what to do. You may feel hopeless, stuck, thinking life will never get better… This is a common theme among many of the clients who walk through my door. There is a great need for a place where they can feel safe, secure, and validated. I believe I am able to provide this for my clients. A place where you can truly feel understood, a haven where you don’t have to feel so alone. My top priority is providing individualistic compassionate care.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
