I come to the counseling room as a fellow traveller with a strong desire to create emotional and spiritual safety, regardless of what must be faced. Much of my experience has been focused on helping men find hope and a voice amid brokenness, loneliness, and relational trouble. I meet with individuals wrestling with anxiety, depression, past or present abuse, sexual confusion, sexual addiction, and spiritual and emotional health in general. In my ten years as a counselor, it's been my privilege to care for men, teens, and couples wrestling with depression, stress, and anxiety; addiction (drugs and alcohol; gambling; sexual...); the grief involved with divorce; the struggles associated with life's transitions; difficulties in school and relationships; and family conflict. My hope is that the men and women I talk to would be able to experience intimacy in their relationships, fullness of life, and find success in their daily lives.

Life is hard enough without having to go through it alone. I have a passion to assist you in overcoming adversity and facing your mental health concerns. Empathy, open-mindedness, and communication are my core values. My path to counseling began very young through my own personal experience with loss of life, which lead me to the path to helping others. I understand that missing our loved ones and being depressed is normal, and the key to grieving is to find a way to form a new relationship with the one we lost. In addition, through my collegiate student-athlete experience I understand the delicate balance of being a student-athlete, including the pressures that come along with it.

I help children, adolescents, and young adults gain the tools they need to face the challenges in their world. I believe in creating a strong therapeutic relationship for children and adults and a relaxed atmosphere. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques along with modalities from Adlerian Play Therapy. I have interest in Gestalt Therapy as well to help broaden my ability to help as many people as I can and am working toward my Registered Play therapy credentials and full licensure.

I have been in private practice for over 35 years. I meet the client where they are at and more importantly assist them in where they want to be. I strive to help in the most professional and respectful way and value each and every opportunity to be in the lives of those who want to live the life they want. I believe there is nothing wrong with the individual but they are often striving for balance and harmony in their lives. All my clients want the same thing-Love and acceptance.

I am a licensed clinical pastoral counselor, and, certified alcohol and drug counselor who has a passion for the family. Because the marriage relationship is one of the most important and satisfying relationships we will have, my goal is to help couples to: identify their strengths, and to build new ones; acquire communication and conflict resolution skills; help them to identify stumbling blocks, and then, help them to turn their stumbling blocks into stepping stones. My experience includes forty plus years of marriage and over twenty years of helping couples discover who they are as individuals, and who they are as a couple.
