Life is full of transitions, and while some are smooth, others can be a little more on the bumpy side. Those bumps in the road can affect our overall well-being, mentally and physically. Often, we may not even realize just how much mental health is affected by stressors that emerge in life. I am committed to helping guide you through the challenges and find helpful ways to cope. I provide services utilizing a person-centered approach, which encourages clients to be active and take the reins during sessions and throughout treatment.

Your alarm clock is going off, and that sense of dread sits in the pit of your stomach. You slept but you don’t feel rested. Brushing your teeth and getting dressed leaves you drained. The idea of “peopling” makes you want to curl in a ball. You have thoughts popping into your head that you aren’t “good enough,” are “an imposter,” or “a failure.” Everyday tasks can feel overwhelming, and you can be your own worst critic when struggling with life transitions, trauma, anxiety or depression. Asking for help can be daunting, as we are often taught to face those internal battles quietly and alone.

Asking for help is hard and you are on the way to taking your first steps. As a clinician, I recognize the importance of collaboration and the impact it can have on our well-being. Life, indeed, presents its share of difficulties, and having a safe space to explore those challenges is crucial. Unbiased and non-judgmental support is essential, especially when we tend to be overly critical of ourselves. It’s common to feel like some problems are beyond our control, but together, we can navigate them. Whether the issues are big or small, I’m here to join forces with you, working toward your goals and uncovering the possibilities.

Everyone we encounter in our lives plays a part in our story. Each experience leads to decisions that develop who we are. Sometimes we come to an encounter or experience that we aren't sure how to interpret, or work through. When we experience mental health symptoms or life stress that impairs our functioning, it is important to seek, learn, and utilize skills to get back to functioning that helps us achieve our goals.

Hi there! At the the core of great therapy is the therapeutic relationship between the client and their therapist. I believe very strongly in the positive changes that can occur as a result of therapy. We all have various emotional needs that can be addressed and benefit from the therapeutic process. I am passionate about serving children, adolescents, adults and families. By partnering with my clients, I see tremendous growth towards their goals and improvement in general well being. When working with children and teens, I take a systems approach and work closely with caregivers to provide the most comprehensive care possible.

I have felt the same the struggles that all woman have experience, "Am I just a wife and mother?", "When do my needs get met?".
You have so much going for you. You have a great group of friends, a spouse/partner that supports you, healthy children, and a job that you enjoy. But you can't help the feeling that something is missing. "Why don't I feel fulfilled?" "Why am I not happy?" "Am I missing something?" These are common issues many women face but feel they are struggling alone. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to feel fulfilled. Reconnect with the happy woman inside of you.

I believe everyone deserves happiness, joy, and belonging. Not everyone has the support and skills they need to make that happen. I'm here to help. I have 10 years of experience helping others work through life challenges big and small. If you're dealing with overwhelm, lack of motivation, feeling stuck, relationship issues, parenting issues, anxiety, depression, or just confusion about why life seems so much harder, heavier, more complicated for you than everyone else. Let's work on this together.

I am especially passionate about working with children and adolescents, as I believe they are our future. I became a counselor to help young people learn and develop coping skills they can carry with them into adulthood, fostering resilience and emotional well-being from an early age.

Man, woman, transgender, white, black, green, blended, straight, gay, merry, sad, furry.
Life can throw us off balance because of relationship issues, the need to set boundaries, depression, anxiety or just because life is… Life. I can help you find your inner voice - your source of self-reliance, self-assurance and self-empowerment. Sometimes knowing that you are not alone and have someone to help you stand when times get rough can make all the difference.

Does your child, adolescent, or teen exhibit concerning behaviors at home or school? I believe we should strive to look beyond the concerning behaviors exhibited by our children. What if we shift the perspective from viewing the behavior as problematic to seeing the behavior as a form of communication? My goal as a therapist is to translate this form of communication to create a bridge of understanding between caregivers and their children. As an adult, “adulting” is hard. Therapy can be a positive outlet to explore new coping skills and a self-care routine. It can also be a place to process through life stressors or trauma.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
