Life is a journey that occasionally can become difficult, and even painful. Our emotions can be overwhelming, disconnected, or confusing. Our relationships can become challenging and unfulfilling. We can discover we aren't the person we ultimately hope to be. I desire to help people make sense of their struggles and for them to know they aren't alone in the challenges and suffering life brings. Through sincere interest, deep listening, and a devoted presence, my hope is that therapy can be a place to make peace with the past, find renewed joy and richness in the present, and know hope and healing for the future to come.

I have an extensive experience working with mental health and substance use issues and supporting families. I enjoy working with individuals and couples; as well as parent coaching. Areas of specialty are anxiety and depression, women's emotional health, aging, trauma, grief and loss, body image and disordered eating, co-dependency, self-esteem, self-harm, and substance abuse/dependence. My approach is adaptive to whom I am working with. I have training in and utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, solution focus, EMDR, 12 step facilitation, as well as psychoeducation.

I am a licensed psychologist and addictions counselor. My specialty is treating social anxiety, particularly in late-identified autistic adults. People with social anxiety suffer from unmanageable levels of tension when interacting with others. Everything that makes life wonderful – friendship, love relationships, academic and career success – can fail to develop because of high levels of social anxiety. Social anxiety often appears with autism, abuse and neglect in childhood, addiction, and depression. I focus my practice on this cluster of issues.

Life is a journey and we all come across challenges that can be difficult to go through alone. I have a supportive, collaborative approach and work with you to build on your strengths and increase your coping skills to address the issues you have identified. We will identify goals for therapy to help us stay on track. I provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Frequently I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and Mindfulness type skills. I greatly enjoy working with people of all cultures and backgrounds.

I seek to help people find hope and light in dark times. I love working within youth, young adults, and families to help mend concerns and disconnects within important relationships because relationships are a foundation of life. In addition to relationships I love working one-on-one to help clients find new ways to heal and cope with whatever their life situations may be: mental illness, life changes, grief, loss, transitions, and any other obstacle that is ever present in life today. Each person has their own story and I am humbled to help clients navigate theirs.
