I work with adults and young children using a warm, collaborative approach. My adult specialties include anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, parenting/bonding difficulties, childhood trauma, and abortion/reproductive justice. I also value working with single and LGBTQ+ parents. Together we explore past experiences, relationships, and patterns within a secure therapeutic relationship to foster growth. I honor clients’ diverse identities and recognize that many internal struggles are reflective of systemic, sociopolitical issues.

I am passionate about helping people explore those parts and how they came to be, and gain insight into how they impact us in relationships, parenting, and daily life.
My goal is to create a space for us to work in therapy that nurtures vulnerability, curiosity, and compassion. I believe meaningful relationships are what helps us heal, so I focus on helping you develop more secure patterns of relating - to yourself and to your loved ones - so you can experience deeper connection and understanding.

Waitlist for new clients
Most of us are doing our best... AND the roles/stress we take on (and the roles/stress put upon us) can really have an impact on how we feel and how we function. Although I welcome a range of client concerns, my passion is for helping adults who are struggling with the complex world of relationships, stress-management, parenting, and self-acceptance. If you are feeling overwhelmed or insecure as a parent, if you are overly stressed by life transitions, or otherwise feeling stuck or imbalanced, I'd love to walk beside you on your journey toward wellness.

Relationships are my area of focus: Romantic, Friends, Community, Business, and Family: adult child/ parent, intergenerational, stepfamily, poly, LGBTQ+, queer, and trans.
I have immediate in-person and virtual openings. I work with people individually or relationally who are committed to learning and development. Together, we'll improve communication patterns and relationships skills; deepen or build your purpose and joy for living; create a life that is more in alignment with your desires and values; foster the care and respect you want; consider and support your identity and its full expression; and manage challenges with more skill and confidence. Living intentionally, including being in therapy, isn't always easy. But it's often far more satisfying than repeating our outdated habits.

You are not the only parent who might be struggling to connect with your teen!.
I have the awesome privilege of getting to work with teens, families, adults and therapists all day long. I often meet teens who are uncomfortable with the idea of going to therapy. If your teen works with me, I will work closely with them to ensure that therapy with me isn't uncomfortable. I read teens well & will work hard to help your teen have a positive therapy experience. Teens are accepted in my practice for who they are in the world & they have told me that this acceptance is helpful to them during a time of intense growth & change.

Many of my clients identify as "people pleasers", and say they feel stuck in a difficult relationship with their family or partner. They may struggle setting boundaries and have a history of abandoning themselves in order to "keep the peace" with others. Some grew up in erratic or dysfunctional families where "walking on eggshells" was common and familiar. As adults, they have learned to tolerate dysfunction and may subconsciously select partners who are similarly invalidating, defensive, critical or otherwise difficult to please. Parenting Therapists

What does therapy for parenting look like?

Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?

When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?

Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?

Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
