My clients can change anxiety, ADHD, autism, or pain with live heart and brain feedback called biofeedback or neurofeedback in online visits. Clients control music volume on their phones with their calm attention levels with free biofeedback equipment I provide. It is easy mindfulness therapy for kids and adults. It is proven to work as well as medication for anxiety, ADHD, and pain. I have years of experience as a therapist, and have taught clinicians at The University of MN Medical Center and elsewhere. Insurance covers this service. To schedule a 20 minute call, click here: https://neurotherapy.intakeq.com/booking

I see people who are struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and relationship problems.
I believe that individuals grow and change in therapy mostly because they learn how to think differently about their problems and practice what they are learning. I also believe that growth and change are more likely to occur in the context of a safe, trusting, and respectful therapeutic relationship.

I work with teens (+14) and adults of all ages! I specialize in topics such as: identity formation, gender affirming care letters, anxiety, ADHD, depression, boundaries, shame, conflict, self-esteem, body size/fat-liberation, and climate change anxieties.
Hey there! Glad to see you here! I describe myself as a warm, client-centered, trauma informed therapist. I take a liberation focused and systems-based approach to healing- we exist in systems and are impacted by them, why not consider them as a part of our overall wellbeing? You can expect me to bring a flexible structure (seems opposite, but it's real!), humor, boundaries, empathy, curiosity, and honesty to therapy sessions. Whether its a space to work through and focus on "doing", or a place for you to be witnessed and "be"- we get to be in whatever process you're in and honor YOU!

I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, & children/parents struggling with ADHD, motivation difficulties, difficulty managing strong emotions, or anxiety/self-confidence concerns.
You struggle with motivation and following through on tasks. You know what you need to do but struggle to do it. People say you have amazing, creative ideas but you don’t know how to consistently translate your ideas into action. It feels difficult to organize yourself at work and notice that you have periods in which you’re “on” but then struggle to get back on track. You feel that other people don’t understand you and you are likely able to trace this feeling back to childhood. Other people communicate frustration with your lack of time management or procrastination. You feel frustrated, overwhelmed, and stuck.

Whether anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, depression, or all of the above are getting in the way of you feeling healthy, empowered, and resilient, therapy can help you live a more balanced life.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
