If you are looking for a therapist who is present, genuine, and offers a caring and therapeutic space, then we might be a match. I love working with clients who are brand new to therapy and might feel a bit nervous. And clients who have been in therapy previously and may already know what they want out of the experience. Wherever you are on your journey, my mission is to meet you right where you are and walk alongside you to achieve the goals and dreams you have, or perhaps work to develop them altogether. I am also trained in Brainspotting which can be especially powerful for clients with a history of trauma.

Deciding to change takes courage. Starting therapy takes courage. Many only call a therapist when they have tried everything they know to do. Others are tired of reaching the same crossroads time and again - whether in our personal lives (with issues such as anxiety, depression, fear), in our relationships (communication, intimacy, etc.), or a past experience that keeps one from living the full life once imagined. Whatever brings you to therapy, Conscious Healing Counseling is happy to discuss the many options available to you and how we can be most helpful.

I have trained in a variety of techniques, including being a Certified Master NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) Therapist, Certified Brainspotting Practitioner & Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Families.
I approach therapy sessions with empathy and curiosity, inviting clients into a collaborative space to slow down, question, and reflect. People feel stuck in difficult patterns, struggle to engage, and criticize themselves for their inability to manage daily stressors and triggers. Central to my therapy practice is creation of a safe environment to process and explore, reconnecting to parts of ourselves we have lost connection with. I have a lasting commitment to training and treatment on trauma, both PTSD and Complex-PTSD (developmental, attachment, relational trauma). My website is www.honeyruncounseling.com for more information.

I have formal training in Brainspotting and provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
I believe that improving your relationship with yourself improves everything. Self-work can be some of the most difficult work to engage in, but together we can make it some of the most rewarding work that you’ve ever done. Interpersonal relationships, mental health concerns, work life, all of these and more can make us feel confused about who we are, where we fit in and how to move forward. My focus is in helping individuals and couples navigate difficult feelings, identify and change dysfunctional thoughts and patterns, and overcome challenging situations in order to enjoy a life that they deserve.

I use a multitude of techniques that integrate your personal spirituality, CBT, narrative exposure therapy, brainspotting as well as holistic approaches to heal your mind, body and spirit.
I work with my clients at their own pace. I am here to help guide you and walk beside you on your journey to mental wellness. Our life experiences can leave us feeling broken, rejected, lonely, and searching for answers. But, through this brokenness we can begin to discover who we want to be, bringing us the emotional healing we desire. Through self-exploration we can begin to understand how these events impact how we treat ourselves, interact with others and create meaning in our lives. Chantelle believes that change occurs when we begin to truly accept ourselves as we are. Non-judgement, radical self-love and forgiveness are key.

I pull from frameworks of internal family systems (IFS), emotion-focused therapy, and brainspotting.
I use a laidback, curious, and collaborative approach to assist people in their journey towards healing. I love laughing and make my best attempt at using humor to lighten the load of some of the heavy topics you might be bringing to our work together. I truly value the real, authentic selves we get to show up as in the therapy room (or zoom screen). As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe relationships and connectedness are so important to our wellbeing and how we view the world.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
