I specialize in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO- DBT), which focuses on equipping you with the skills needed to navigate life as well as relationships more effectively.
How did you get here? Do you feel shame and embarrassment about your circumstances? Are you stuck in rigid thought patterns that manifest as perfectionism, procrastination, or apathy? Many of my clients have endured painful traumatic events and ongoing invalidation throughout their lives, leading to difficulties in recognizing and managing intense emotions. This sometimes results in decisions or behaviors that later cause regret. Imagine looking back on past experiences with clarity, acknowledging their impact without allowing them to define your present or future. There is a path to learning, healing, and creating lasting change.

Building skills to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression through CBT and DBT while working on external stress allows clients to build self confidence at the same time.
I'm Sarah, an LCSW who has been practicing in the mental health field for over 6 years. Many of my clients find themselves struggling to balance all of life's responsibilities like work, kids, finances, relationships and school. This often creates anxiety, depression, and sense of overwhelm, and often feeling stuck, not knowing what next step to take. They want to organize their thoughts and sense of overwhelm, find ways to manage anxiety and depression, and learn new strategies to allow them to participate productively in all their roles.

I use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT ( dialectical behavior therapy), Solution-Focused, Schema Therapy, and Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, believing that what we do and how we think ultimately creates how we feel and behave.
I help people overcome life’s challenges to grow and find their desired happiness. I have a long history of working with those struggling with addiction as well as concerns related to sex and intimacy. From a mental health perspective, I work with clients who have anxiety, depression, trauma, intimacy, relationship problems, and some personality disorders. I believe that our mental health, compulsive behaviors, relationships, sex, and intimacy all interact and influence one another to create who and how we show up today. I have an extensive history of working with individuals in the LGBT+ community and specialize in treating Chemsex

I prefer Solution Focused, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, CBT, DBT.
Adulting is hard. Stress sucks. Anxiety and Depression seem to be passengers in the trip through life. The plague, Covid, has made these even more amplified....and being asked to go back into the office?! Seriously?! Have you ever felt like an outsider? Like, there can be a group of people talking and you are not part of the conversation. Are you part of the Neurodiverse/neurospicy community? Do you align with the LGBTQIA? Do you ever go to parties and hang out with the Cat? Dog? Well, then we might get along.

Some of those theories include: Internal Family Systems, Feminist Theory, Dialectical Behavioral, and Narrative.
Life is not always easy. Add in a global pandemic, community uprise, and our ongoing political environment, and some days it feels impossible. I get it, and want to be a source of reprieve. My goal is to help you create a better relationship with yourself whereby creating better relationships in the rest of your life. I believe that all of us need a person to talk to that has no bias or judgement in regards to what we are facing. I want to 'dig deep' so to speak and get to the root of what is stopping you from living your best life.
