My areas of special interest and focus include: autism, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, enhancing relationship satisfaction, life after divorce, co-parenting, parents of children with special needs, and life stage challenges.
There are times in life when we are faced with challenges that cause us to feel stuck and lose hope. In those moments, we often require a little extra support and compassion to help us focus on possibilities for the future. I am passionate about helping clients during those difficult times by developing a strong level of trust and providing a safe space for them to share their story. In my sessions, I strive to be empathetic, encouraging, and patient with my clients in order to foster growth and healing within them. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

I have worked with children and adults with autism, ADHD, anger issues, self-harm, loss, relationship struggles, behavioral problems, and parenting.
Immediate openings available. Life can be hard and when it is, you may feel alone but you don't have to. Have you or your child felt anxious, overwhelmed, sad, hopeless, or angry? Have you wondered where all of these feelings come from? Do you or your child have trouble concentrating on one thing at a time? Do you ever wonder what is happening to your child? Or, do you just want to talk to someone who will listen? If you have answered yes to any of these questions: I can help you. I create a safe space to work through all of those feelings.

We are created for connection. All of us are searching for meaning, purpose and belonging. We are made to be in relationships with each other. Our relationships provide an opportunity for life's greatest joy and greatest heartache. All of us experience the brokenness of our world and fall short of relational wholeness. Each of us a unique combination of biology and experience, which results in unique challenges, vulnerabilities, strengths, and hopes. I believe everyone has the insight, ability, and potential to thrive in our human experience and sustain a meaningful life.

I understand you may be hurting, worried, feeling lost, scared, frustrated, or overwhelmed. At moments like this, it may be hard to see how things can get better... That's what I'm here for. Let me help you. You are strong, skilled, and capable of improving your situation. I will listen, support, care, and ultimately help you make your life better than before. I know how bad it can get, but I also know how much things can improve; I know because I've been part of that happening for so many over the course of many years.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I enjoy working with children, individuals, couples, and families on developing healthier ways of perceiving, communicating, and interacting with ourselves and with one another. Life can just happen so quickly that we sometimes forget to appreciate the people and things around us. I want to help slow down these moments and to build upon what matters which are our own self-worth and the relationships in our life.

Life can be hard. You may worry too much. Maybe you have difficulty finding the energy to do what you need to do. Or saying things that you regret later. Maybe you have trouble concentrating and focusing. And sometimes the hopes and dreams you have for the future don't always turn out the way you expected. When these things happen, you may forget how to draw on your strengths and capabilities to make things different for yourself. I can help you rediscover strengths as well as develop new, effective strategies for bringing back your joy for living and having deeper, more meaningful relationships.

Honestly, he’s a really great guy. Chris is the type of therapist that can help you work through some real, heavy stuff, but he can also have you laughing right after (He does improv comedy. Like, what? Awesome!). And, as he would say, "But, I’m also hardcore nerdy and love building an authentic, lighthearted relationship with clients. I love to talk video games, the MN Twins, comedy, and anything alternative. So, I dig it all.”

Hi there! I'm Molly, a fellow human navigating this messy world with you. Being a human in this world is difficult to say the least, and I know that often times our needs go unmet to meet the needs of others. If you are feeling burnt out, are struggling with your relationship with food or your body, are experiencing an increase in "dark and twisty" thoughts, have a trauma history that you are having difficulties navigating, or are working through those existential thoughts of "who am I?", "what the heck is life?", and "Is it okay to not believe the things I once believed?" you are not alone.

Autism Therapists
What is the most effective treatment for autism?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.
How does ABA work?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.
How does treatment for autism work?
Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.
How long does therapy for autism take?
Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
