I have an extensive background in working with those impacted by trauma, relational stress, and anxiety.
“The unexamined life is not worth living.” These words spoken by Socrates have been, whether known or not consciously known, the guiding force that has brought individuals, families, and couples to my office. Whether they have been experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship stress, illness, or substance abuse, a common thread runs through them all: the desire to feel more connected to others and to themselves; to experience a sense of aliveness and joy through such relationships. In your strive for wholeness, I pay attention to your unique life story to support you in reclaiming your authentic self.

I have a few immediate openings for new clients. I believe that across our life we develop many strengths, relational patterns, and skills that help us manage and navigate difficult situations and relationships. However, while these skills or patterns may have been helpful in the past, they may not be effective when we are confronted with new, unexpected challenges. I hold that therapy is a safe space where we can explore our past experiences, make sense of who we are and the ways we relate, understand our struggles, and find new solutions that lead to healing and clarity.

I work from a relational perspective and believe healthy relationships are central to our individual sense of wellbeing.
I love seeing clients who feel stuck in their relationship patterns or personal struggles and are ready to make a change. I see both couples & individuals with a variety of mental health concerns, and work with them to uncover and address the barriers that are holding them back.

Therapy is different for everyone. I believe one of the most important aspects of successful work in therapy comes from the strength of the client/therapist relationship. The process of solving emotional and relational problems can be both intimidating, and very rewarding. I work to help individuals and couples discover their strengths and build on them. The process of change will be unique to each person, and I am honored to be on it with you.

I am specifically trained in various couple's therapy modalities, understanding the family system, and Pia Mellody's Post Induction Therapy which focuses on healing relational trauma.
Life is hard and often not fair at times. We seek therapy to feel heard, validated and find ways to move through our pain. I work with a broad range of individuals, couple's and families. My passion is helping those with relational issues, developmental trauma, substance use as well as eating disorders. I will work with individuals (13+). I love working with transplants as I understand the complexities of moving to another part of the country and not knowing the culture. My goal is to help you find yourself, that internal voice that tells you, "you are worthy, you are enough."

I work from a feminist, relational, and culturally responsive perspective and believe that courage and vulnerability are connected.
Do you ever ask yourself, with a little curiosity, "What the hell is my life?" as you are pondering what you want and how to get there? Loneliness sucks. Connection is difficult. Unhealthy coping tools feel easier to use than the good ones. Together, we will work on changing the narrative, coping with the intense pressure and stress you are facing, focusing on your strengths, and allowing space to connect to compassion for yourself. I work with people who struggle with mental health and addiction, relationship issues, self-esteem, isolation and a general disconnect from life. What is creating a block for you? Let's get to work.

My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and emotion-focussed.
I value authenticity and candor in my work with clients, and enjoy "real talk." My typical client would say they’re a high achiever, “successful” on paper, and struggle with symptoms of anxiety, perfectionism, depression, low self esteem, or challenges with relationships and boundaries. I work with individuals who have a history of relational trauma or injury, grief and loss, or are navigating life transitions or changes.

I believe this environment to be important to foster and instill relational trust and safety, which lead to better therapeutic outcomes, and desired change.

My approach is client-led and I place importance on the therapeutic environment and relationship. Much of my work is in improving communication and relational skills.
I work with an amazing team at ALL IN Therapy that approaches treatment from a holistic mindset. Working nine-to-five doesn't mean there isn't time to prioritize your mental health. I'm a "night-owl therapist" and am available from 11 AM through 9 PM on weekdays. I want to ensure that therapy can integrate seamlessly into your life without disrupting it, whether you work daytime hours, are a student, or just feel more comfortable talking with someone after a long day rather than during it. We'll work together to find ways to manage your concerns so you can find more stability, passion, meaning, and peace in your life.

Relational Therapists
How does relational therapy work?
Relational therapy was developed by psychologist Jean Miller, whose ideas stressed that having strong connections with others encourages better health and well-being when compared with a lonely existence. Conversely, poor interpersonal relationships do not foster growth and learning. Relational therapy also encourages trust in others and patience with others, along with better communication and less conflict.
Is relational therapy evidence-based?
Relational therapy is not well-studied, and it may not be as effective in treating certain mental health conditions when compared with evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral or acceptance and commitment therapy. However, relational therapy uses techniques found in cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psychodynamic therapy, which are both well-studied with empirical research.
How long are people typically in relational therapy?
Clients may see improvement after a few weeks or months of therapy. Like cognitive behavioral therapy, relational therapy can reduce symptoms within 10 to 20 weeks, at 45 to 50 minutes once a week. But like any type of therapy, improvement depends on the person and the severity of the problem.
Does relational therapy work?
While no therapy type will work for everyone, some evidence suggests that this therapy can be effective. Relational therapy can help a person manage problematic relationships as well as the mental health conditions that accompany difficult relationships like depression or anxiety. This therapy type may offer benefits that are hard to measure but can be just as valuable—including feelings of higher self-worth or healthier connections with others.
